FEATURES
IPG Fiber Laser Resonator
IPG is the world leader in high power fibre lasers. IPG pioneered the development of optical fibre-based lasers for metal cutting.
IPG is the only company that offers a complete system with the semiconductor diode pump, the optical fibre and the amplifier with no gas consumption at the source.
Rigid Frame & Gantry
The foundation for all Durma laser machines is a rigid stress-relieved welded steel frame construction upon which a stiff gantry axis system moves the cutting head.
The design guarantees accurate parts even when cutting with the fastest speeds and under the highest accelerations.
Twin Shuttle Tables
The compact over – under design significantly improves production.
Unload and reload the table outside the machine while the other is on duty inside the machine.
DURMA Interface
Durma has developed its own interface and a complete cutting library for all standard cutting applications. The database includes the cutting parameters for standard materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminium) for common thickness ranges. The operator can interrupt the cutting operation at any time.
Software for your PC
CAD/CAM software for your PC is included. Features include:
- Any CAD drawing can be imported to create NC codes which can be sent to the machine via USB stick or Ethernet
- Sprint cut chooses the shortest path of the head from one contour to the other
- Fast head path collision protection prevents possible damage by warped material
- Cutting clockwise or counter clockwise
- Advanced corner applications provides perfect intersections
- Built in font styles to cut out or mark the sheet
- Pre-piercing initially finishes all piercing prior to contouring. This property can be selected if desired. It is especially useful for thick plate cutting as it reduces the need to make holes during cutting contributing to longer lens and nozzle life.
Control Unit Siemens 840D Controller
Durma laser machines achieve the highest dynamics and the fastest laser processing cycle times thanks to the combination of rigid mechanics and a state-of-the-art numerical control and drive system.
The graphical user interface ensures easy operation of the machine. The on-board libraries of reference cutting parameters for various materials and thicknesses allow the operator to achieve optimal cutting results in a minimum amount of time.
Programmes can be loaded easily into the machine with a USB stick or over a fast ethernet connection with the company network.
Intelligent Auto Focus Capacitance Cutting Head
In the high-pressure auto-focus cutting head for fibre lasers, the cutting lens is shielded from the laser process by an exchangeable low-cost protection window.
The 1μm wavelength light of fibre lasers is very sensitive to dust or other contamination produced in the cutting or piercing process, therefore the cutting head is well protected in an additional cover to ensure that all critical parts remain as clean as possible.
The integrated capacitive distance sensor is capable of having the head follow height differences in the sheet even at the extreme high cutting speeds that can be achieved with the fiber laser technology.
Safety
The working area of the machine is guarded with light guards. These guards can be interrupted to gain free access to insert a new sheet, lens and nozzle replacement, general maintenance and for other special purposes.
During the laser cutting operation the safety devices are electromagnetically locked in order to prevent an accidental triggering of the machine’s emergency stop function.
The machine’s safety equipment corresponds to the CE guidelines currently in force. The laser head is guarded along the Y axis by flexiglass material which allows clear vision of the cutting area.

Scrap Removal
