FEATURES
DURMA Touch Screen Controller for Shears
The powerful touch screen CNC control unit offers integration with all the machines axes at the one interface. The operator enters the plate type, the plate thickness, the plate length, and the desired back gauge position and the controller automatically sets the blade rake, the blade gap and rapidly positions the back gauge.

Large Throat Gap
To allow shearing of material longer than the blade length the DURMA VS series of guillotine comes standard with 350mm throat gaps cut at each end of the frame. Provided the cut strip is not larger than 350mm you can cut plate of any length by multi-cutting. Multi-cutting is where you cut the plate part way through then shuffle the work piece through the throat gap and continue the cut.
Finger Guard, Ball Transfer & Hold Downs
The first one meter of the finger guard can be flipped out of the way for easy viewing of the work piece at the initial point of cut. The hydraulic hold down jacks ensure the plate is held firmly along the entire length of the blade. The hold downs are positioned closer together at the ends of the machine. Not only does this provide better clamping at the crucial start of the cut but also makes narrow plate cutting more accurate.
The front table of the machine is fitted with ball transfers to aid in position large heavy plates.
X Axis Back Gauge
The standard DURMA VS series guillotine features a 1000mm back gauge running on precision ball screws. The CNC controller positions the back gauge to extreme accuracy of ± 0.1mm and with extreme high speed of 200 mm/sec. The CNC controller can automatically retract the back gauge when cutting thin strips to prevent the off-cut jamming between the blade and the back gauge.

Rear Sheet Support Systems
For the cutting of thin or delicate material consider a rear sheet support system. These systems support the sheet to prevent it stooping down and passing under the back gauge.

This option is more advanced by not only supporting the sheet but gently lowers the off-cut to the ground to prevent damage to delicate materials.

After the cut process the off-cut is returned out the front side of the machine. Therefore the operator does not have to go around the back to collect.
Upgrade to X1 & X2 Back Gauge
This option allows you to have two independent back gauge fingers which can be programmed to move in and out parallel OR on programmed angles. Fully integrated into the controller.
Upgrade to 1250mm Back Gauge
